How do you handle criticism or negative feedback about your products?
You need to check what type of product you’re selling maybe you need to drop shipping it again….
Hey @jasonh I try to see criticism or negative feedback as a chance to learn and improve. Nobody likes to hear negative things, but it’s really important to listen carefully and understand where the customer is coming from… I always try to respond quickly and politely, letting them know I appreciate their honesty
If there’s something I can fix or improve, I do my best to take action right away, somettimes it’s a product tweak, sometimes it’s just clarifying information or improving the way I communicate, either way, I see it as a valuable opportunity to grow and make things better for future customers ![]()
At the end of the day, being open to feedback helps build trust and better relationships
I learned the hard way; I took things personally. I wish I knew then what I know now, that:
- I’m not my product.
- I can’t please everyone.
- More importantly, being able to detach myself from the things I design.
I’m more open to feedback and no longer take it to heart but I still think this phrase is true “Customers don’t know what they want until you show it to them.” There are ways to deescalate the situation, and my business implements these, but for the sake of my own mental health, learning to let go is the best ![]()
Just truly listen to that negative feedback and find a way to improve…
I will further discuss with our team developers and do the best to investigate the cause code. Then contact the provider for more details to check the issue if it exists in real. Then check with customers for a better feedback and resolution eventually.
I take it as an opportunity to improve. I listen carefully, understand the issue, and then work on making necessary changes or clarifications ![]()
Kudos to work life balance and separating yourself from your work self.
