What’s your go-to activity when you need to reset and refocus?
A nap! I tried to despise it and deemed it unnecessary, but time and time again, I was proven wrong. Power-nap it is for me.
Hi @jasonh
Focus on a single point or a small object continuously for one minute. It could be a pen, a small dot on the wall, etc. Your eyes are constantly picking up information from the environment, which can cause distractions. By focusing on one point, you’ll be able to bring yourself back to a more focused state.
My go-to is taking a short walk, making a point to leave my phone behind. Just focusing on the physical movement for 10-15 minutes is usually enough to break whatever mental loop I’m stuck in.
If I’m stuck at my desk, I’ll do something simple and methodical like organizing my desktop files; creating a little bit of order helps my brain reset to tackle the bigger problem.
I usually take a walk or go outside moving my body and getting fresh air helps clear my mind I also like to write down my thoughts or make a short plan for the next steps It resets focus and gives a sense of control over what comes next
When I really need to reset and refocus, it’s either sleeping in all day lol, or going on a good hike to recharge in nature
Definitely a nap, walk, or tea and podcast.
Meditation or bathing
Meditation and bathing seem to be a good combo.
My go-to is watching motivational videos. Sometimes I turn up the volume, walk around the room, and think about my next plans. I remind myself that everything is possible, but this requires discipline and focus.
Yeah, I think so. They two make me feel relaxing~
When I need to reset, I usually head to the gym, training always helps me clear my mind. I also enjoy diving into random curiosities (I can get lost researching fun facts), listing some music, podcasts or just going for a drive, which is one of my favorite ways to relax and refocus.
For me, it’s a short walk in the garden. The fresh air comes in so the bucket full of ideas. That’s enough to keep me in the game.
I will choose to leave work environment and go hiking.
